From the recording Still the White Snow

Lyrics

Still the White Snow

Hush... listen... to the sounds of the snow
I remember your arms, seems such a long time ago.
The snow wheels and flurries, and aches from the sky
The soft flakes dance, the soft flakes fly.

No breath of wind, no gleam of sun
Still the white snow, whirls softly down -
Branch and limb, and blade and thorn
All in an icy, quiet, forlorn.

Whispering, sighing, through the air,
Fluttering, caressing, icy kisses everywhere.
The sky cries powdery crystal flakes
Icy tears glimmer on frozen lakes.

Till pale and faint at shut of day,
Stoops from the west, one wintry ray
And, feathered in fire, where ghosts the moon,
A robin shrills his lonely tune.
